| | Yesterday after church, while Carter was eating lunch, Mark noticed he wasn't using his right arm at all, which is unusual since he prefers that hand when feeding himself. Mark started messing with his arm and quickly realized something was wrong. Now, when I'd picked him up from nursery not even an hour earlier, he lifted up both arms to me, so I knew it had to have happened sometime after picking him up and before lunch. He wasn't acting like it hurt unless you tried moving it around - he simply wasn't using it. Of course, this would happen on a Sunday when our pediatrician is closed, so Mark took him into Children's Urgent Care. When he arrived, there was a 2-3 hour wait to be seen. Within an hour, he was called to fill out paperwork. At some point, Carter ran away and down a hallway, so Mark went to go get him only to see him trip and fall and catch himself... with both arms. As soon as he got up, he began using his right arm again, and when Mark moved it around, it no longer seemed to bother him. Yay for a child who fixes his own injuries! I think it was nursemaid's elbow. I'm fairly certain he's going to grow up to be a superhero... or maybe a doctor.
Also, I've been summoned for jury duty. Mark's always wanted to do jury duty. I'm hoping I can get out of it since I have 2 small kids at home and no one to watch them should I have to report.
